In light of the historical relations and strategic partnership between the Arab Republic of Egypt and the People's Republic of China, which is rooted in decades of joint cooperation, Minister Amr Adel, Chairman of the Administrative Control Authority (ACA), received Ms. Yu Hongqiu, Deputy Secretary General of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection of the Chinese Communist Party and Deputy Head of China’s National Supervisory Commission, along with her accompanying delegation. The meeting took place at the ACA headquarters in the New Capital during the delegation's official visit to Egypt. The meeting was also attended by Mr. Liao Liqiang, Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to Cairo.

The meeting addressed prospects for cooperation and the exchange of insights and expertise regarding corruption prevention and combating efforts, the development of oversight mechanisms, and capacity building. Discussions also covered a review of successful experiences and practices from both sides and ways to make use of them, particularly in light of rapid technological transformations and the accompanying evolution in the patterns and methods of committing crimes. These changes necessitate the development of monitoring and combating tools as well as strengthening of prevention efforts through the application of modern technologies in relevant areas. Both sides emphasized the importance of continued coordination to support joint efforts within the framework of the signed memorandum of understanding.

The delegation also visited the National Anti-Corruption Academy, learned about its training and academic activities and programs, and discussed areas of future cooperation with its Chinese counterpart affiliated with the National Supervisory Commission of China.
