In light of the importance of the concerted efforts of regional and Arab authorities to prevent and fight corruption and support development paths, Minister Amr Adel, Chairman of the Administrative Control Authority (ACA), received Mr. Épiphane Zoro, Minister of Governance, Capacity Building and Anti-Corruption of the Republic of Côte d'Ivoire, and Mr. Albert G. Dooley, Ambassador of Côte d'Ivoire to the Arab Republic of Egypt, at the headquarters of the Administrative Control Authority in the New Capital, on an official visit to discuss means of bilateral cooperation between the two sides.

 

During the meeting, Minister Amr Adel stressed the African bonds that unite the two countries, pointing to the continuous development in bilateral relations in various fields. A memorandum of understanding (MoU) was also signed between the two sides to exchange expertise and build capacities in areas of common interest, especially in terms of utilizing information technology to prevent corruption.

 

For his part, Mr. Zoro commended the role of the Authority in preventing and fighting corruption, as well as its efforts during its recent presidency of the African Association of Anti-Corruption Authorities (AAACA). In addition, ACA tirelessly endeavors to develop an international methodology to measure the effectiveness of anti-corruption authorities through its partnerships with its international counterparts.
