In pursuit its efforts to support and promote African cooperation in preventing and combating corruption, ACA chaired the 13th meeting of the Executive Committee of the African Association of Anti-Corruption Authorities, which was held in Arusha, Republic of Tanzania, 13 -14 April 2026, with high-level participation of heads and representatives of anti-corruption authorities from various regions of the African continent.
Over two days of intensive work, constructive discussions were held on ways to strengthen frameworks for joint cooperation and exchange of experience among member states, contributing to efforts to prevent and combat corruption. These discussions led to several important decisions, most notably the approval of the Egyptian proposal to develop a specialized African training package in the field of parallel financial investigations. This aims to develop the capabilities and enhance the efficiency of African cadres through cooperation between the National Anti-Corruption Academy in Cairo and its counterparts in specialized academies across African countries. An ambitious training plan was also adopted to improve the efficiency of African anti-corruption agencies in several areas of common interest.
The meeting also witnessed the renewal of the Memorandum of Understanding signed between the ACA and its counterpart in the Republic of Tanzania. This agreement supports the development of areas of joint action and exchange of experience with African countries, contributing to the consolidation of the principles of integrity and transparency across the African continent.
