In line with its ongoing efforts to strengthen international cooperation in the fight against corruption and to promote values of integrity and transparency, the Administrative Control Authority (ACA) of Egypt has signed a significant Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government Inspectorate of Vietnam (GIV). The MoU was formalized during a visit by an ACA delegation to Vietnam, with Counselor Tamer el- Fergany, Deputy-Chairman of the ACA, and Duong Quoc Huy, Deputy Inspector General of the GIV, serving as signatories.

This partnership is intended to facilitate the exchange of expertise and training in combating corruption, drawing upon best practices to enhance the efforts of both institutions in tackling this global issue. Through the MoU, both parties aim to build upon shared experiences to strengthen their respective frameworks for corruption prevention and enforcement.

During the visit, the ACA delegation highlighted Egypt’s progress in the implementation of the National Anti-Corruption Strategy (NACS), with particular emphasis on the role of the Egyptian Anti-Corruption Academy (EACA) in fostering capacity-building at both national and international levels. The Academy, as an affiliate of the ACA, has been instrumental in offering specialized training programs and academic qualifications in anti-corruption and integrity studies.

The Government Inspectorate of Vietnam, in turn, provided an overview of its key mandates, focusing on the country’s regulations surrounding asset and income control, as well as measures aimed at enhancing the effectiveness of anti-corruption enforcement.
