H.E. Minister Amr Adel, Chairman of the Administrative Control Authority, received H.E. Salima Mesrati, President of the High Authority for Transparency, Prevention and Fight against Corruption, and the accompanying delegation at the headquarters of the Administrative Control Authority. The meeting witnessed two-way discussions on mutual cooperation, as well as the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to enhance cooperation in the fields of preventing and combating corruption; exchange experts and their expertise; and upskill employees within this field.
The meeting showcased the Administrative Control Authority’s efforts to prevent and combat corruption through its training arm, the Egyptian Anti-Corruption Academy (EACA), where specialized programs are being offered to leverage national and international capacities in the field of governance and preventing and combating corruption. Moreover, the Algerian delegation expanded on the law regulating the work of the High Authority for Transparency, Prevention and Fight against Corruption.
The visit comes within the framework of the ACA’s mission to foster international cooperation and its presidency of the Conference of the States Parties to the United Nations Convention against Corruption (COSP9).
