As part of its efforts to spread integrity, transparency, and governance among all segments of society, the Administrative Control Authority (ACA), through its educational body, the Egyptian Anti-Corruption Academy (EACA), continues to hold training courses for citizens outside Cairo. The EACA believes that this training comes as an integral part of equipping society members with methods to prevent and combat corruption. Furthermore, the courses bolster the Academy’s role as a primary reference for education, training, and developments in science, knowledge, and skills related to combating and preventing corruption at the national, regional, and international levels.
In light of this, the EACA held a four-day training course for 46 citizens at the Administrative Control Authority's Dar Masr Al-Iskandariyah. The trainees were introduced to anti-corruption science and knowledge using novel means of education and training. This includes an integrated and advanced training system that utilizes direct communication and constructive interaction with selected cadres from the Academy.
The course program included the introduction of corruption, its causes, and its effects on society and national security; the frameworks for combating corruption in Egypt as well as international anti-corruption conventions; the promotion of the National Anti-corruption Strategy; digital transformation and Egypt’s information infrastructure; governance and monitoring; Egypt's Vision 2030; and the means to spreading integrity and transparency in society.
Trainees lauded the quality training they received in science, technology, and administration, and pledged to disseminate the knowledge and the awareness they have gained within their social circles. Hence, the course promises that more citizens hold the values of integrity and transparency.
The EACA will continue to offer citizens across all provinces more training courses in the coming period as one way to ensure the optimum results in promoting anti-corrosion values.
