On the sidelines of the 13th session of the Implementation Review Group and the 13th session of the Open-ended Intergovernmental Working Group on the Prevention of Corruption,  the Egyptian delegation met  with the delegation of the United States of America headed by Christine Cline, Division Chief of the Office of Global Programs and Policy at the Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement (INL).

The meeting discussed bolstering cooperation between the two countries in the fields of preventing and combating corruption, and reviewed Egypt’s best practices and its home-grown efforts to implement the National Anti-Corruption Strategy 2019-202, curate the follow-up measures, and forge a national Corruption Perceptions Index to measure progress in the Strategy’s implementation.

The meeting also went over Egypt's experience in hosting  the Conference of States Parties to the UN Convention Against Corruption (COSP9) in Sharm El-Sheikh in December 2012.
