Drawing on Egypt’s orientation towards strengthening national partnership as a fundamental pillar for achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, Counselor Hisham Badawi, Speaker of the House of Representatives, and Minister Amr Adel, Chairman of the Administrative Control Authority (ACA), attended the closing ceremony of the First Forum for Members of Parliament on "Impact of Governance and Digital Transformation on the Oversight Role," which was held from June 20 to 24, 2026, at the ACA headquarters in the New Capital.

The Forum aimed at exchanging visions and experience on means to enhance the values ​​of integrity and transparency, and to highlight effective mechanisms supporting the efficiency of oversight work, which constitutes the first line of defense in protecting the nation's resources. The Forum included discussions on a number of important issues concerning developments in the political situation at the international and regional levels, economic challenges and opportunities, social protection programs, energy, water, and food security. Several members of the House of Representatives, ministers, and ACA leaders attended this forum. ACA efforts in the areas of digital transformation and database modernization, control of new crimes, and raising awareness of the hazards of corruption, in cooperation with various state institutions, were also reviewed.

The Forum provided an opportunity to build bridges of communication and enrich dialogue on various national issues, contributing to the formulation of visions and policies that are more responsive to challenges and more aligned with development goals. It also supported Egypt’s efforts in building the new republic and strengthening its foundations on the principles of joint action, efficiency, and effectiveness.
