Through the efforts made to strengthen the bonds of joint cooperation, regionally and internationally, to enhance coordination in the field of governance and combating corruption, Minister Amr Adel, Chairman of the Administrative Control Authority, received Mr. Mohammed Ahmed Al-Yamahi, Speaker of the Arab Parliament, at the ACA headquarters in the New Administrative Capital, on an official visit aimed at discussing means to boost bilateral cooperation between the two sides.
The two sides discussed an array of topics of common interest, especially in the areas of governance and combating corruption as well as exchange of experience through cooperation between the ACA-affiliated National Anti-Corruption Academy (EACA) and the Arab Parliamentary Diplomacy Center of the Arab Parliament. The significant role of the Arab Parliament in supporting Arab efforts meant to promote integrity and build effective institutions capable of achieving sustainable development for Arab peoples was also emphasized.
During the meeting, the Chairman of the Administrative Control Authority (ACA) expressed his appreciation for the efforts made by the Arab Parliament to promote joint Arab legislative action to serve the interests of Arab countries. He also stressed ACA readiness to provide technical and advisory support to promote regional cooperation in the field of governance and anti-corruption.
The Speaker of the Arab Parliament commended the pioneering role of the Authority in implementing the national anti-corruption strategy in coordination with the relevant authorities, hoping to expand the horizons of cooperation with similar Arab institutions to achieve common goals that serve the supreme interests of the Arab nation.
