Within the framework of the standing directives of the President of the Republic to monitor the system of implementation of state projects nationwide, achieve governance of procedures and ensure the quality of implementation, the Administrative Control Authority (ACA) managed to arrest the head of a new city development agency for complicity with some contractors assigned to implement projects within his purview, and for disregard of the violations pertinent to execution of works. He received a bribe amounting to nearly three million pounds. Upon presentation of the issue to the Prosecutor General, the Honorable Counsellor issued an arrest warrant whereby the accused were apprehended and referred to the competent prosecution.

In coordination with the Ministry of Housing officials, the disbursement of the value of the works in violation of the Agreement was halted and a committee was formed to review the work assigned to these companies and secure the quality of implementation on the ground.
