Minister Hassan Abdel Shafi Ahmed, Chairman of the Administrative Control Authority, met with Charles Duchaine, Director of the French Anti-Corruption Agency (AFA) on the sidelines of the Conference of States Parties to the United Nations Convention against Corruption in Sharm El-Sheikh.
The meeting touched on future cooperation between the two sides in issues of mutual interest, such as preventing and combating corruption; raising awareness of the hazards of corruption; exchanging anti-corruption knowledge and expertise; and promoting training on modern detection methods for corruption offenses and financial investigations.
The two sides also agreed that the National Anti-Corruption Academy will recruit French experts to build capacities in African relevant agencies in light of Egypt's interest in knowledge and cultural exchange across the continent.
