In the framework of cooperation between the Administrative Control Authority and the international organizations concerned with governance and administrative and economic reform, the National Anti-Corruption Academy, in cooperation with the Ministry of Planning, Economic Development and International Cooperation and the OECD, organized a two-day workshop ( 8 - 9 April). The purpose was to review the legal and institutional framework for combating corruption in Egypt as well as the international standards and business integrity; and promote dialogue between the public and private sectors in this field.
The event included panel discussions on international experience with regards to anti-corruption in international business transactions, the responsibility of legal persons, raising awareness of the risks of corruption in the private sector and a review of Egyptian efforts in this area in the context of the implementation of the objectives of the third phase of the National Anti-Corruption Strategy 2023-2030.
Representatives of law enforcement agencies, civil society institutions, the government and the private sector attended the workshop.
