As a part of the state's efforts to automate the services provided to citizens and update and audit databases, the investigations of the Administrative Control Authority (ACA) succeeded in thwarting an attempt by a citizen to seize 400 acres of state land in one of the coastal governorates. He used forged documents attributed to government agencies stating that he and others own the plot of land, contrary to the truth.
Upon informing the investigation authorities, a warrant was issued to arrest the accused. He was detained under remand; the investigations are still ongoing.
