Minister Amr Adel, Chairman of the Administrative Control Authority, received Humaid Abu Shabas, United Arab Emirates’ President of the Supreme Audit Institution (SAI) and his accompanying delegation, at the headquarters of the Administrative Control Authority in the New Administrative Capital (NAC), as this visit comes with the aim of building and consolidating bilateral relations in the fields of preventing and combating corruption and raising awareness of its hazards.

 

The meeting encompassed discussions on the means to enhance future cooperation between the Administrative Control Authority and Supreme Audit Institution in areas of mutual interest, especially with regard to the use of information infrastructure and artificial intelligence techniques to prevent and combat corruption in light of the rapid global changes. This, in addition to discussing the role of the ACA-affiliated academic reservoir, the Egyptian Anti-Corruption Academy (EACA), in capacity building for ACA’s members, employees, as well as employees across the state’s administrative apparatus and local and international law enforcement agencies.

 

The meeting concluded by signing a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to bolster bilateral cooperation in relevant fields, as well as exchanging knowledge and expertise on best practices in building capacities and fostering skills in the fields of preventing and combating corruption.
