Mr. Hamed Hamimi, Director of the National Anti-Corruption Academy, met with Mr. Akmal Burkhanov, Head of State Anti-corruption Agency of the Republic of Uzbekistan; and Mr. Yevgeniy Kolenko, Head of the Academy of the General Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Uzbekistan, on the sidelines of the Conference of States Parties to the United Nations Convention against Corruption in Sharm El-Sheikh.

The meeting touched on future cooperation in preventing and combating corruption; raising awareness of the hazards of corruption; exchanging anti-corruption knowledge and expertise; and promoting training in the fields of common interest. Moreover, the meeting tackled leveraging capacities at the National Anti- Corruption Academy (NACA), given that the State Anti-corruption Agency is newly established.
